Branding Coworkable.com: Why we chose Rubber band ball for our Product? (Part 2)
In our previous post “Branding Coworkable.com: Designing our Product?” (Part 1), we have discussed about how we named our product Coworkable.com. In this part we will look at why we choose Rubber band ball as the graphical identity of our product.
When we got started with designing graphical identity of our startup, the first question we are had was “What Coworkable means to us and our users? and “What it symbolizes?”. With that model in our mind we listed out keywords, Coworkable should represent:
Sharing
Friendly Free Culture
Flexible workplace / time
Collaborate
For social cause
Fun & Relaxing
Different types of People / Profile
Altogether we want our brand to represent an idea, company culture for our users and employees. With the keywords, we brainstormed and searched for various concepts but one concept was so simple and quite prominent to our keywords. It’s the:
Rubber band ball
We felt, rubber band ball does aptly represents and relates well to all the key concept we have for Coworkable.com like Sharing, Friendly Free Culture, Flexible workplace / time, Collaborate, For social cause, Fun & Relaxing, Different types of people /profile.
That’s how we decided and chose rubber band ball as our brand mascot. Next, we tried with different variations of color and patterns for the ball.
Color and Design Pattern-1
Color and Design Pattern-2
Finally chosen design!
Blue –> Office Space
Orange –> Skills / Profiles
Green –> Social Causes
This is our story of how we chose rubber band ball as our brand graphical identity.
